At the Oracle Energy Summit, we had an interview with Nadire Müge Gökçek, Oracle Turkey Energy Sector Sales Director.

At the Oracle Energy Summit, which was organized for the second time speakers talked about world’s energy trends and success stories in Turkey. This year’s theme was Digitalized Networks. The representatives of the energy sector, including distribution and retail companies, attended the event.

I wonder whether they picked this week especially because the date is very close the Energy Summit. I asked.

“Today I have been asked this question a lot. Yes, we chose it specifically. This week the awareness level of energy is very high. We want to look at the digitalization from another perspective and share how we’re addressing the topic as Oracle.”

Like the rest of the others, industry is being digitalized. Is this an easy process? Gökçek answered as followed:

“In today’s presentations, there was a vital point. Compared to other sectors there are some more challenges of change and transformation. The work needs to start in advance. If we think as individuals, it starts from customer management and customer relation is changing. In the backend counter management processes, inventory and network management are changing. Power outage management will easily manage power networks. As customers, we will receive easier and better quality service. “

Then, how does Oracle help?

“We have Utilities Department in Oracle. We provide end-to-end solutions to distribution, retail, electric, gas and water companies in the utilities. We contribute to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction with them because they are integrated systems “said Gökçek.
